New Opening: Static Plant Operator Apprenticeship

We are excited to open applications for our Static Plant Operator Apprenticeship program, designed to nurture the next generation talent. Based in our state-of-the-art facilities, this is a golden opportunity for individuals passionate about engineering, innovation, and sustainability. Your key responsibility will be to ensure the Asphalt plants at Bardon Hill are operated in a safe manor producing a quality and in specification product supplied to the customer

Apprenticeship Overview:

💡Engage in comprehensive training programs combining hands-on experience with academic learning.

💡Work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical skills

💡Support the wider team in the smooth operation of the site.

💡Learn about and contribute to our sustainability initiatives, focusing on reducing carbon emissions and enhancing efficiency.

🛠️Ensure the plant is health and safety compliant at all times

🛠️ Operate both Standard Haven and benninghoven asphalt plants

🛠️ Operate static plant to carry out tasks in line with process operations, regulations, manufacturers guidance, mobile plant operating specifications, and company policies and procedures.

🛠️ Conduct prestart and routine safety checks on the equipment and the working area in line with regulations, company policies and procedures.

🛠️ Carry out static plant operations sustainably and minimise waste.

🛠️ Conduct planned and preventative maintenance in line with regulations, manufacturers guidance, company policies and procedures.

🛠️Plan and prepare for the task ensuring availability of equipment and resources.

🛠️To ensure all customer orders are manufactured and dispatched to our customers

🛠️ Complete handover requirements.

🛠️ Contribute to continuous improvement activities.

🛠️ Keep stakeholders such as colleagues and line managers informed about materials processing work.

🛠️ Process materials to meet specification.

🛠️ Check and maintain stocks of materials for processing.

🛠️ Monitor quality of raw materials and products during operation.🛠️

🛠️Adjust the plant equipment to maintain quality and specification of the product.

📈 Maths and English at grade 2 or above (or equivalent)
