The Opportunity

Based onsite at Glensanda, the largest granite quarry in Europe we now have an opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our existing large team of engineers.

You’ll be based across this 6,000 acre site and will operate on a 7on 7off rotation. Where with the support of our existing maintenance team you’ll become an expert in maintenance operations of static plant.

You’ll carry out planned maintenance and repairs to the site equipment and carry out planned repairs to equipment to maintain asset capacity and value

To react promptly and effectively to site breakdowns by liaising with operatives and assisting where needed to monitor and ensure that all plant stoppages, breakdowns, and logs are documented correctly. You will carry out other reasonable tasks within the scope of your operation and abilities as and when required.

For minor maintenance tasks you’ll train and develop our onsite operators.

With a focus on Health & Safety across our business this role is no different, you’ll carry out all repairs safely and continue to maintain a hazard free environment.

Glensanda is only accessible via the Aggregate Industries ferry from Benderloch, so you could either do a daily trip or stop onsite in free en-suite accommodation with fully furnished gym, sauna and games room

Who you are

You’ll have experience as a Fitter/ Welder or maintenance background.

You’ll be competent working with Hydraulic equipment
