The Opportunity

Are you looking to upskill your existing experience and further train on Mobile Plant equipment?

If you’ve had experience as a Fitter/ Mechanic from a Mobile Plant, HGV, Agricultural, Military or other similar environments then we’ve a great opportunity for you to further develop your engineering experience.

Onsite at Torr works, our Limestone Super quarry near Shepton Mallet we now have a position available for a Mobile Plant Fitter. Helping to keep our site operational you’ll maintain a fleet of vehicles such as Excavators, Loading Shovels & Dump Trucks. Working in a team of Mobile Plant Fitters you’ll be assisted by senior engineers to become a key member of the team. With internal and external training Welding & Hydraulics you’ll improve upon your existing Fitting experience to become an expert in this field.

Covering Monday-Friday days, rotating with 05:00-14:30 & 08:00-17:30. This position is mainly workshop based for Projects & PPM’s onsite at Torr, with some reactive work required within the quarry for a breakdown. You’ll be in a fully equipped workshop with its own stores and specialist tools readily available. You’ll also have an opportunity to train alongside our qualified engineers as well as OEM technicians.

With a focus on Health & Safety across our business this role is no different, you’ll carry out all repairs safely and continue to maintain a hazard free environment.

Who you are

You’ll have experience as a Fitter/ Mechanic for either a Mobile Plant, HGV, Agricultural, Forklift or Military environment.

You’ll have a willingness to learn and be keen to upskill your existing experience.
