The Opportunity
Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who wants to step away from a hands on role?
We now have a brilliant position available for a Mechanical Maintenance Planner to join our large engineering team at our Cement Manufacturing Plant in Cauldon, Staffordshire. This is a great opportunity to utilise your engineering knowledge away from a hands on position as you take a leading role on making those crucial decisions around plant maintenance and prioritisation.
Covering Monday-Friday days as part of a team of Mechanical Planners, you’ll be responsible for a truly varied set of equipment from our kiln and packaging plant to our adjoining quarry, you’ll be in regular contact with Mechanical inspectors and senior engineers to discuss the maintenance requirements onsite.
You will receive reports from the inspectors outlining the various faults onsite, and utilising your technical expertise will help to prioritise the work for our Mechanical Maintenance team onsite.
As a key role in our engineering function it’s essential that you have a technical background, as you’ll need to understand which fault should take priority and anticipated duration of repairs to effectively schedule in weekly planned and major planned works around those reactive faults that appear.
Who you are
You’ll need to be a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or have a background in Mechanical work as you’ll make key decisions on work based on your technical expertise.
Cement Plants are a heavy engineering environment, so having experience in heavy industrial environments would be beneficial.
On site we utilise SAP, so it would be beneficial if you’ve used this or another CMMS previously.
Benefits
Competitive Salary, Annual Bonus, Enhanced Company Pension, Online GP & Opportunities to further your career and qualifications.
