As General Manager for Outer London, you will have full responsibility for the sales and operations across locations including Hitchin, Harlow, London Gateway, up to Great Yarmouth. This is a large territory that relies on the complex networks of aggregate supply via rail heads and deep water ports,
You will take ownership of the profit and loss of the region and empower your commercial and operational teams to build commercial relationships and identify opportunities for growth, both short term and long term. You will know how to empower and motivate a geographically dispersed team and be confident in bringing the commercial strategy to life for a satellite team.
You will look for opportunities to increase the delivery of products direct to market and unlock new profit streams in the region.You will help us to accelerate our operations in the circular economy and play a key part in introducing new ways of working and innovation, whether that be market strategy, greener operations or digital transformation.
You will have the autonomy and accountability to effectively manage your own business and identify ways to increase profitability and new ways of working. You understand the importance of developing high performing teams and adopt an inclusive mindset when it comes to talent.
You don’t have to be from our industry to be considered, in fact we welcome interest for high performing leaders from outside the industry that want to build and execute a winning commercial strategy in an operational business. Experience in industries such as waste, recycling, heavy materials or facilities is favourable.
