This network works with the wider business with education and guidance initiatives - recent examples include Skills Booster videos on topics such as sexual orientation and supporting trans and non-binary people at work"

Pete's Story

"I joined the business and met my partner around the same time and I have always felt really comfortable chatting and sharing dating stories with my colleagues. They shared in my excitement in the early days and I always have felt comfortable that I can be myself.

Our Progress

Wear it with Pride

Our 'Wear it with Pride' campaign enables our employees to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. Our people can choose to wear an AIUK pride badge on their lanyard. This small action helps to raise awareness, encourage discussion, education and even help someone open up more to employees who are fully supportive.

     

Building Equality

We have signed up to 'Building Equality' an alliance of construction consultants, engineers, developers, contractors and institutions who are passionate about working together and harnassing the collective power of LGBTQ+ inclusion in the construction, engineering and built environment industry.
