The Opportunity

Based onsite at Colemans Asphalt Plant near Frome, we now have an excellent opportunity for a new Plant Operative, where you’ll help produce and distribute materials used in key projects across the South West. With full training onsite, you’ll develop into an expert in this field. Learning to operate mobile plant equipment the technical mixing of Asphalt production.

As a Plant Operative, you’ll join our team onsite and be supported in developing your career through internal and external training.  Onsite you’ll operate various mobile plant machines such as a Loading Shovel or Telehandler as well as check wear of machinery and learn to perform minor repairs.

Onsite we operate a rotating two week shift pattern;

Week one: Monday 03:30-14:00 and Tuesday-Friday 05:45-14:00

Week two: Monday-Friday 21:45-06:00

Who you are

You’ll have a willingness to learn and keen to develop your career in the Construction Materials Industry.

We have a strong culture of Health & Safety onsite, so it is pivotal you can work in a safe manner.

By the nature of our work, you’ll need to be comfortable working outside.

You’ll need to be flexible to work on a shift rotation as outlined above.
