The Opportunity

Due to an internal promotion we have a new vacancy for a Sales Manager to lead sales from three of Express Asphalt business units in the West Midlands. With commercial responsibility across our Coventry, Darlaston & Redditch Asphalt Plant’s, you’ll develop an extensive customer portfolio, capitalising on the national presence and leading market position of Express Asphalt.  

As the Sales Manager you will take on an exciting role within our Express Asphalt division managing customer and commercial activity for our industry-leading collect Asphalt service. You will have the opportunity to work closely with other business functions to manage customers and ensure customer service levels are met, support the growth of the business, manage budgets and gain operational insight.

  • Management of customers and commercial activity for specified operations to achieve budgeted EBITDA, volumes and margin.
  • You will work with the Plant Managers to continuously improve our customer experience so that we enhance our market leading position.
  • Deliver budgeted EBITDA, volume and selling price for the Express Asphalt business units and ‘Complementary Products’ through the site shops.
  • Be the key (and single) point of contact for all customers, responding to queries and supporting the credit function in the collection of cash.

Who you are

  • Proven track record developing a business, delivering sales targets and offering value added solutions in a similar market.
  • Ability to develop strong and sustainable customer, supplier and colleague relationships.
  • Detail and results oriented with strong personal values to succeed.
  • Pragmatic approach with ability to write business reports and presentations.
  • Highly organised with demonstrable planning and delivery capabilities.
  • IT literate.
