We have a unique opportunity for a proactive Electrical and Mechanical Technician to provide day to day maintenance and planned preventative maintenance at our Lytag factory, at Drax power station, near York.
About the role
LytagTM was first manufactured in 1958 following a research project to develop a lightweight aggregate from power station fly ash. In 2013, a new, state of the art multi-million pound factory at Drax power station near York was built. The process transforms fly ash into small, round, very tough pellets. These can be used as a superior lightweight aggregate which is up to 50% lighter than its natural counterpart and has been used in many unique applications across the UK most notably to build some of the dramatic London skyline including the Shard.
Reporting to the Factory Manager, as Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician you’ll provide plant maintenance support to the shift teams in a hands-on role which will ensure maximum plant and equipment availability.
