About the role
Operating to the highest health, safety, environmental and quality standards, you’ll play a key role in contributing to profitability by maximising productivity whilst minimising waste and inefficiencies. Operating both fixed processing and mobile plant, you’ll also undertake basic maintenance and housekeeping duties to keep the quarry running at its optimum level at all times.
Key elements of the role include:
Operation of mobile plant (for example Loading Shovel, Articulated Dump Truck) safely and efficiently carrying out daily safety checks
Operation of processing plant, rail and shunter and wash plant
Dispatching and controlling the quality of finished product
Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping; ensuring areas are clean, tidy and hazard free
Dealing with all issues professionally and liaising with site management on a regular basis
Monitor and ensure that all production data, plant maintenance activity and logs are kept up to date and documented correctly
Carrying out daily plant inspections
