We are looking to recruit an exceptional Regional Engineer with world-class engineering standards to join Aggregate Industries. This is a great opportunity for an individual to manage all associated risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies of engineering works within our Northern region (based around Sheffield).
This role is a management position covering mechanical, civil and structural activities and is fundamental to the delivery of Aggregate Industries’ long term national strategic plan involving engineering discipline and approach, operational engineering improvement and involvement in the development of whole of life asset improvement opportunities.
About the role
As Regional Engineer reporting to our National Engineering Manager, you’ll work as part of a team and will travel throughout the Northern region to oversee, plan and manage all engineering activities within agreed performance boundaries. Ensuring demonstrable legal and corporate compliance of engineering plant/equipment and activities, you’ll continuously challenge the safety performance and standards of both plant and personnel, liaising closely with site managers and various stakeholders.
Other key deliverables include:
Generation of engineering solutions and project scopes URS
Adopt and promote project management approach
Delivery of project solutions to Aggregate Industries standards
Working as part of a national engineering and project management team
Close liaison with suppliers of engineering equipment and services
Development of engineering staff and contractors within the Northern region
Undertake structural inspection program across the Northern region
What will you bring?
Ideally of graduate calibre preferably with Chartered status or an equivalent professional qualification in an engineering discipline, or an equivalent CPD record
Experience of high-level risk assessments
A first-class all-round communicator, influencer and relationship-builder, capable of managing the surveying function to ensure we adhere to all engineering and structural designs
With a great eye for detail and results-oriented
Understanding of budgets, financial responsibility, analysis and forecasting experience and contract negotiations
