Territory Sales Manager (Ref: 9890)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Territory Sales Manager to develop and manage new and existing client relationships. You will be an experienced and technically minded sales professional, with the ability and intellect to operate across multiple technical product types.

 

About the role

You will manage an allocated sales territory to achieve sales targets and overall business goals through the establishment, maintenance and improvement of business relationships and market knowledge. 

Other elements to the role include:

  • This is a national role supporting the Sales Manager with external cement sales from Cookstown and Glasgow
  • Contribute to the sales of packed cement to builders’ merchants in Northern Ireland including the roll out of a new range of value-added packed cement products
  • Key account management responsibility for a number of small bulk cement accounts including precast companies and independent readymix plant operators
  • Maintain an understanding of competitive activity relevant to the territory
  • Work with and influence activities of customers as appropriate
  • Be proactive in promoting the full product range (cross promotion) to all customers within the territory as appropriate
  • Call planning in line with business targets

 

What will you bring?

  • Extensive (minimum 5 years) sales experience in direct customer facing roles
  • Key account management experience of large, high volume accounts
  • Ability to implement sales plans and strategies
  • Ability to find and approach new customers within given geographic markets
  • Able to work to targets and KPIs
  • Knowledge of cement and the cement industry is desirable but not essential
