Digital Communications Manager (Ref: 9492)

We have an opportunity for a confident and proactive Digital Communications Manager to lead and implement our digital communications strategy. Reporting into the Head of Corporate and Marketing Communications, you will draw from your previous experience in Digital Communications, to develop a strong digital brand presence. About the role
Reporting into the Head of Corporate and Marketing Communications you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy and susequent action plans across all digital channels. Providing expertise and support to the business on all things digital communication, you will create compelling marketing communications content to attract and retain profitable customers and build brand recognition all in support of our  wider business objectives. 

Other elements to the role include:

  • Developing, managing and implementing the annual digital communications activity calendar and budget. 
  • Driving the digital content to improve natural SEO including creating original content to improve the performance of our websites.
  • Developing SEO content to include strategic key phrase placement within compelling copy that maximizes opportunities for indexing, ranking, click-through and conversion.
  • Manage all social media campaigns and day to day activities including online advocacy, writing editorial, outreach activity and promotions.
  • Manage all PPC campaigns to drive relevant traffic to our websites including advert content writing, optimising copy and analysis. Take ownership of the PPC budget objectives and pursuing activity in order to achieve/exceed pre-set KPIs.
  • Delivery of web development projects improving the customer journey and experience on our websites within agreed deadlines and budgets.
  • Managing the relationship with the digital communications suppliers.
  • Define and deliver new functionality and enhancements to the website, including scoping, developing technical specifications and project managing deployment.

What will you bring?

  • Proven track record creating, delivering and measuring high profile communications plans and developing strong digital brand presence
  • Relevant experience in digital communications
  • Up to date and thorough understanding of search engine techniques and strategies
  • Experience in project managing web development projects
  • Personal drive for change, constantly looking at “what could be”  and able to think through implications
  • Experience managing a team to inspire and achieve
  • Demonstrable creativity, positivity and ability to manage stakeholders across the business  
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage time, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines/targets
  • Flexible approach to work, remains calm under pressure
